The Christmas Season is Here

The tree is decorated...now we have to do the rest...maybe this week it will get done.

I really enjoy all that Christmas brings...especially the music, family, food, decorations, etc. But remembering that it is the celebration of Jesus' birth makes it a really special time.

It's Basketball Time in Tennessee

The past couple of weeks have flown by and I haven't been blogging. We chose not to go to Waco last week end for the A&M/Baylor game...Mike didn't want to see A&M get beat again! And he would have done so since Baylor won 41-21.

Instead, we were able to watch Rheagan play in a pre-season elementary basketball tournament and her team was the tournament champion.

The Cleveland High School Lady Raiders began their season Thursday night with a win over the Baylor School from Chattanooga. (Picture can be added tonight after their 2nd game.)

Last night we went to Chattanooga to see the Lady Vols play the Lady Mocs. Neither of the programs are up to their ususal high standards but it was a good game.

The half time was probably the best...Quick Change from America's Got Talent preformed and even though we were sitting in the second deck and could see "in" some of the props, we still couldn't figure out how they did it!

It's alway good to see Pat "at work".

Rheagan got a lilttle closer for a better look.

Tripp wasn't still long enought for a picture!

Football week end

We went to a LHS football game on Friday night and the Panthers won 52-12. Today we saw the Aggies loose to OU. But we got to see our Texas family and that was good. Here are some random pictures from our day.
These first ones are Mike reliving his days in the Corps at A&M.

And as usual, the best part of the game is the Fightin' Aggie Band.

Today is Kelly's 40th birthday. We hope that she has a wonderful day and a fantastic year to follow. It's a definite milestone, but one to be enjoyed.

Since I'm am somewhat computer challenged, these pictures will have to do.

Many Sides of Napoleon Dynamite

Payne was Napoleon Dynamite for Halloween...

then Jon sent a picture of Jackson(via the phone camera) being the same...

and finally, Mike was talked into being Napoleon too.

Election Day

Today was a school holiday since most of the voting places were the schools. Rheagan spent the day with me since it was still a school day for Mike. She and I had a good time doing a variety of things.

Here are snapshots of some of the things that we did.

Texas A&M vs Colorado weekend

On Friday we came to Houston and had supper at

P.F.Chang's where Mike and I shared 2 dishes...a spicy chicken and a thinly sliced beef. Both were delicious and the souce that we mixed added some heat to both of the dishes and the rice.

On Saturday morning we drove to College Station for the A&M/Colorado football game. We met Kellly, Jon, Payne and Jackson there.

A&M won the game but the best part of the game was the half-time presentation of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band.

We drove back to the hotel in Houston so we could watch the football games that came on tonight so we stopped for a quick bite of supper before heading to the hotel.
