We got to see Payne play football yesterday afternoon and his team won 32-0 and he had several good tackles. He is #2 on the program but #1 in our hearts!

Day at Dollywood
On Wednesday, K and I took the kids to Dollywood during Fall Break. In spite of the rain that fell in the morning and the clouds that hung around all day, we had a great time. Here are some shots of some of the things that we did...
And right before we were getting ready to leave, the cousins found us! What a great surprise!

Game Day
This morning we had breakfast at the hotel...loved the Texas-shaped waffle iron!
This is the cemetery for the Aggie mascots, Reville, who have died. They get fresh flowers for each home game.
We drove to College Station for the game against Oklahoma State...where A&M ran out of time before they could win the game. Before the game, we had a variety of sights.

The Aggie Band did another superb job at half-time.
Friday's Activities...Eating and More
This morning we had breakfast at the hotel before we drove up to Lufkin where we got the chance to visit with Jim. Of course we had to eat lunch and we went to Cotton Patch...
After a trip to Walmart, we drove back to Houston and went to Mark and David's...Sonya and Elizabeth are in west Texas, so we missed them. Of course we had to eat supper...so we had Mexican food...We then went to see the Lufkin Panthers play the New Caney Eagles in the rain.
It was interesting to see the sprinklers come on just as it was time for the initial kick-off!
We stayed through 3 quarters and Lufkin was leading 34-6.
