We had a wonderful Sunday in Waco visiting our former church.
We arrived a little early and were able to take a picture of the sanctuary before SS was over.
We got to visit with several friends,D.G.(Pat was not there; she was not feeling well) and David and Gayle. Their new pastor if from Columbia, TN and a delightful young man.
The service was very enjoyable; we sang from the hymnal, had a child dedication, sang the Doxology, and has a sermon from their youth pastor. The Lord’s Supper was served at the front of the sanctuary.
After lunch we drove to our farm and by some of the rental houses.
We had hoped to visit with D but she was not feeling well; I dropped a gift on her front porch and ran, just in case her germs were coming under the front door!!
On Monday, we drove to Dallas and had lunch with my cousin M and her husband B. Enjoyed catching up with their boys and their lives.
Later we met some friends from our days in Japan, B and C. The Mexican food that we enjoyed was nearly as good as the fellowship. It’s been over 30 years since we have seen them and they really haven’t changed much at all. We had to leave when the restaurant was closing!
