Chick-fil-A Bowl and More

We drove from HHI to Atlanta for the Chick-fil-A Bowl…

After we checked into the hotel, we boarded MARTA to head downtown…

where we met up with the rest of our family.  The cousins always enjoy getting to be together…

We ate a great meal at Ted’s…

and then walked over to the Georgia Dome for the Bowl game.We were there 90 minutes before the game started.  The kids loved getting to go around and watch the Aggies warm up.

After a terrible 1st half, A&M had us on the edge of our seats as they rallied to win the game.

We welcomed in the New Year while enjoying the post-game celebration. 

We rode MARTA back to our hotel but didn’t take any pictures.

On Jan. 1, 2014, we ate breakfast at Waffle House and then drove back to HHI.

The rest of the day was spent watching football games! Went to bed before the Baylor game was over.

On Thursday, it rained all day, so we spent the day inside.  We cooked breakfast but chose not to take any pictures!  We played another game of Chicken Foot and Big Mike used technology to keep score!

Then we watched a movie about Pete Maravich…

For dinner we enjoyed…

then it was back for another football game!

Today the golfers headed out for a round on the links at Shipyard.

The rest of us played the XBox…

put the last piece in the puzzle…

The finished product…

We had lunch at Harold’s Diner…

After a bike ride…

to the ruins…

and being a monkey,

we played another game of Yatzee…

The golfers returned and we went to supper…

I had some help with the rest of my bowl picks…

and another game of ChickenFoot…

before we watched more football!

Rainy Start

A rainy morning started with a bed full of technology!

We opted to live stream the service from FBC.

We went for brunch…

and then we enjoyed a beautiful afternoon of bike riding.

We saw more alligators out today than we can ever remember seeing on one day! Here is a variety of wildlife…

We also saw a bald eagle dive into a pond a get a fish and then fly off!   What a sight to see!!

We rode on the beach…

A great tree for a picture…

A trip by the lighthouse finished off the bike ride.

We continued with games, puzzles, reading, etc.

Time Away

We have enjoyed a few days at Hilton Head.  A morning of golf was on the agenda for some…and yes, it was a blue shirt day!

For others, it was a variety of activities…

Then it was time for supper at Crazy Crab.
