This morning we ate a quick breakfast before we went for a Living History Tour which took us to several places where historical characters shared information with us.
Then we came back for a lunch of salads and turkey sandwiches and then J, D, and I went to get a massage. Mike opted to stay at the condo and take a nap!!
We drove up to Pine Valley which is a lovely community up in the mountains where it was much cooler. This is an LDS church that has been in continuous service since the 1860s. We were fortunate enough to be able to take a tour of the church. The man who constructed the church was a shipbuilder. This meant that the church attic was built in a manner that he understood...an upside down ship. We then went to a part of the Dixie National Forest...
On the way out of Pine Valley, we came across several cows that were along the road and out of their fields.
We got another view of Snow Canyon...this one from the top compared to the one the other day that was in the valley.
Back in St. George, we went to a Mongolian BarBQue and enjoyed a different supper that we each put together.
Mike and I went to the Family History Library to do some genealogy while J and D took a walk. The Library is across the street from the St. George Temple.
Another great day in the desert and the mountains.
