We started in Rome, GA where T and R competed in a Drive, Chip and Putt contest. T came in first in his age division for chipping and in 3rd place overall, but lost in a scorecard play off, so he came in 4th. We had to leave for our road trip, so we weren’t able to watch R but she won putting and was the overall winner in her age division and will advance to the next level of competition.
We stopped at Whataburger in Birmingham and the only picture that I took is on the I-pad and I don’t know how to get it from there to here!
Our stop in Mississippi was at the river…
We continued our drive into LA and there we stopped in West Monroe for a visit with the bearded ones, but they had left for the day!
We spent the night in Ruston, LA and then drove to Texas the next day to see P play 2 baseball games.
Our friends, J and D, drove over from Heath and surprised us. It’s true friends who will sit in 100 degree weather to watch your grandson play baseball!
On the way to the hotel, we realized just how hot it really was!
After a supper of delicious Mexican food,at least it tasted good to these Tn folks who don’t get authentic Mexican food, the boys enjoyed the pool and the dive-in movie…Ice Age.
