Happy New Year 2013

We hope you and yours have a very Happy New Year.  May the Lord bless you as you go through the year with Him being your guide.

We rang in the new year last night at 7:00 p.m. when a golf ball was dropped from the lighthouse at Harbour Town at Hilton Head where we are spending some time. It was geared to families with children or senior adults.  There was another drop at midnight, but we were long asleep by then!IMG_20121231_214903

Yesterday we played putt-putt while the real golfers were at Shipyard playing.

On the first hole, we realized that I had on 2 different shoes!

We had a chance to get in some bike riding.

The Polar Bear Plunge was a day early for them…this is an outside pool! It was still cold even though it wasn’t the ocean.

Today we fixed breakfast in the condo and this afternoon we had black-eyed peas, collard greens, onions, ham and cornbread.

It has been a day of bike riding and then watching bowl games!  The family bowl pool doesn’t have a runaway winner yet; in fact we are all struggling.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

I wonder if our Cindy Jenkins has seen a light house decorated with lights for Christmas. She would love that. Funny about your shoes but many of us have done that with socks - - and if you were comfortable - - make a fashion statement! I cooked black-eyed peas yesterday as well as Great Northern Beans for those of us (me) who don't like the others. Also we had cabbage and macaroni and cheese. It was all very yummy and there were more than enough cooked beans for the freezer.
