Back to Reality
Since we have been back home, it’s been pretty much normal routines for us. Lee University has started for the spring semester but Mike is not there! He decided last Fall that he was ready to re-retire! So this semester he is not even teaching in the Encore Department. It’s been too cold for him to play golf or work in the yard, but we have still gone to basketball games. We have seen T play twice this week…
and also the CHS teams.

Last Couple of Days
On Thursday, we had a wonderful breakfast at Skillets.
We decided that the puzzle was difficult and not fun to work on, so we boxed it up to share with someone who might enjoy the challenge.
Mike went for a bike ride and I went to the beach for a walk.
We snacked for supper and because the table was cleared of the puzzle, we were able to play several games of Chicken Foot.
Friday morning we cooked breakfast…
we went to the outlet mall for a little shopping.
We came back and tried to get in a bike ride while we could…
We dried out and went to supper. A return trip to the Boathouse was in order.
and everyone loved their meal…
Back at the condo, we watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
On Saturday, we packed the cars…
headed home and drove through a major line of storms. We stopped at Pappasito’s for Mexican food.
A wonderful trip but it’s always good to be home.

Wednesday
The day started off cold again, but in got a little warmer in the afternoon, so it was time to venture out for a bike ride.
I chose to go for a walk and saw where some of the plants on the resort didn’t fare so well with the freezing temperatures.
It was very windy on the beach so I came back and this was my view as I listened to a book on the MP player.
We drove to Crazy Crab for supper.
We came back and watched Wyatt Earp with Kevin Costner.

Tuesday
BRRR!!!
We woke up to 20 degrees at HHI! As a result of the weather, it was a stay inside kind of day.
We went to a welcome breakfast in the lobby…food was bagels, cereal, powdered donuts, danish, juice and coffee. Not much to eat and we didn’t win any raffle prizes!
We later went to an I What class in the lobby to learn about the I phone and the I pad. Since it was just the 4 of us, we were able to ask questions that we wanted answered. I think that we all got something from talking to the young lady there.
We ate left over snacks from the night before…
We watched Skyfall…
For supper we tried one restaurant that was closed and ended up at the Boathouse. Delicious food.
Stopped and picked up another puzzle, came back and watched…
It was great way to spend a cold day.

Sunday and Monday
We went to church Sunday where the clergy and the choir wore robes, we sang from hymnals, had responsive readings…all in all, very high church.
After eating at Skillets for breakfast, we had to do some laundry.
and then it was time for bike riding and beach walking.
D and B arrived and we quickly started doing a jigsaw puzzle.
We had cereal for breakfast on Monday and some of the group went for a walk but got caught in the light rain before making it back. Saw an osprey dive and catch a fish from a pond. The temperature dropped during the walk.
We played several games of Yahtzee…
worked on the puzzle before it was time for supper (Seinfields) at Crazy Crab. (Didn’t take the phone in, so no pictures!)
We came back and watched Jack Reacher before it was time for the BCS football game. It was such a good game that we HAD to stay up for the whole thing!

From 6 to 4
Yesterday we went from 6 to 4 as K and her family headed back home.
Before they left, K wanted to take pictures of R and T on the golf course with the lighthouse in the background. It might have been sunny, but it was cold and windy.
After they left, it was time for us to pack up and move to another resort in Sea Pines where we will be for this next week. Getting the bikes from one place to another was not easy. M was bundled up as he rode to the new place…I just drove the car to pick him up so he could ride the second bike!
and came back to watch 2 good football games.
This morning we cooked breakfast in the condo…
and then did computer work and watched Anchorman 1( don’t bother)until it was time for lunch again back at the Sea Shack. We had to return because they will be closed next week for renovations.
We took a bike ride this afternoon in spite of the cool temps and clouds…
You can tell that we are by ourselves…no games and lots of eating!
