Another Snow

For those of you who live where you deal in "feet" of snow, we here in East Tennessee enjoy when we get a "dusting" or even "inches" of snow. Yesterday was one of those days. It started snowing around noon and continued until about dark. The flakes were small so there wasn't much of an accumulation, but it was still pretty. These pictures were taken about 2:30 p.m. before I had to get out and go to basketball games...both the girls and boys teams won.

One Week

It has been 1 week since Mike had his left knee replaced. What progress he has made!!

Today he taught 3 classes...2 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon. (Of course, there was a nap in between!) He's using the walker less and less.

He can hardly wait to see what this next week holds!

Visit to the Hospital

On Tuesday, Mike had his left knee replaced. Here he is on his first walk about 4 hours after surgery.
He got to come home this afternoon but first the nurse had to remove the wrapping on his knee and put on a large bandaid.

Then it was time for the wheelchair to take him to the car and then HOME!!

Everything went very well and now it's time for rehab!! We are so grateful for Karen who was there the morning of the surgery along with friends and then Kelly flew in from Texas to be with us. Friends from near and far called, sent flowers and candy, came by to visit and then we had lots of good food provided when we got home.
