I was able to take some "OK" pictures at church yesterday as well as many "not so good" shots!

Birthday Celebration

Rheagan wanted "Mexican" for dinner so we went out to eat and then back to our house for cake and ice cream. And of course, presents!

Happy Birthday, Rheagan

Happy Birthday to my favorite Granddaughter...oh, I forgot...she's my ONLY Granddaughter! It's hard to believe that she's now 11. Hope you have a great day, Rhea.

We had the wonderful opportunity to be in the Great Smoky Mountains earlier this week. Here are some pictures of our adventures...

From the Old to the New

This morning was the last day for services in the "old" facility. We had a wonderful service with great singing...including this quartet, and inspiring preaching. Many in our SS class were dressed in their "walking" shirts that we would be wearing for the 4.5 mile walk to the new facility. There were approximately 1500 people who signed up to walk and I believe that most of them did so. The Lord blessed us with wonderful weather. Before we left the downtown property, the pastor had us turn and face the building and remember our time there. The Shofar, ram's horn, was blown, a prayer was spoken and then he said "let's go home".
We are heading up the hill for the last 1/2 mile of the walk.People are finally on the property with the new building in the background.A special time was held in the commons area...The Shofar was blown again and a Messianic Jew gave blessing in Hebrew that he translated into English. Two precious members who are both 103 years old then began our time of reading the Bible through and praying. They went into the sanctuary and we watch them on TV monitors in the commons area. This will continue 24/7 until midnight Friday.

Remembering 9-11

This was the Texas A&M tribute 9 years ago and this year they are honoring first responders. Due to the fact that this will be the last Sunday in our old facilities, we are not at the game today. Thanks, K, for the picture from your blog!!
