From the Moon to Mars

Today we went to Huntsville, Alabama to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center.
Our first stop was to see the Saturn V rocket; Payne has now seen all 3 of the Saturn Vs. They are located in Houston, Cape Canaveral and Huntsville. These rockets were used to launch the Apollo space program (moon landing program). We saw an IMAX movie about the moon landing from Neil Armstrong to the lunar module.
Payne enjoyed the Mars Climbing Wall, the Mars Mission ( virtual journey over the Martian terrain that simulated a roller coaster), the Space Shot and landed the shuttle in a virtual simulator.

We also saw a 3-D showing of the recent rocket that landed a satellite on Mars. Very informative.
There were other things to see and do, but because of scheduling, we weren't able to do it all.

We ate at Chili's before we headed back to Cleveland.
